Leading an organization or group – whether it is a large company or small classroom – requires a combination of self-awareness, empathy, resilience, and the ability to listen non-defensively.  While one feels the need to project confidence, one often quietly must manage feelings of inadequacy and vulnerability.  Often, it is a lonely process.

I advise individuals who want to become more effective leaders.  I bring curiosity, humor, humility, extensive clinical experience, and a psychodynamic perspective to help leaders become more self-aware and effective.  I coach individuals on a range of organizational issues including leadership transitions and succession, team dynamics, and organizational culture.  I work on the development of essential leadership qualities such as how to build resiliency, navigate effectively in uncertain conditions, become more comfortable with self-advocacy, and understand and improve issues related to motivation and productivity.

I have a particular interest in working with family businesses and helping leaders navigate the dilemmas that can emerge in families working at the intersection of family and organizational dynamics.
